Spring Break at the Library….Mexico
Search for Items from Mexico
Amigos, come into the Popular Materials Department anytime between
Monday, March 24 and Friday, March 28 and look for items that remind you
of Mexico. The items will be labeled in Spanish. Children are invited
to find all the items of Mexico, translate the Spanish names into
English, and enter a drawing to win a prize.
Spanish Language Class
Monday, March 24, 11:00 a.m.
Language Stars will be at the
library to help children learn Spanish through fun, songs and games. For
grades 2-4. Registration is required.
Fiesta
Tuesday, March 25, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
To
celebrate Spring Break in Mexico join us in a fiesta with food, games
and fun. Drop in between 2:00 and 4:00. No registration required.
Special
Stories from Mexico
Wednesday, March 26, 10:00 a.m.
Join us for a special storytime featuring tales from South of the border
- Mexico. This program will be for children ages 2-6.
Special Mexico Drop-In Craft
Thursday,
March 27, 10:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Children can create and take home a part of the Mexican culture.
Children preschool and up with a parent are invited to drop in and make
a craft. Use your creativity and have some fun.
Zorro Masks and Movie
Friday, March 28, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Children with a parent are
welcome to stop in between 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. and make a mask like the
swashbuckling hero, The Legend of Zorro. You are welcome to stay
for the movie Zorro which will be shown at 2:00.
