Book Club in a Bag
Palatine Public Library District

Due to the popularity of book clubs,
the Library has decided to make it easy for patrons to set up their own club
by providing a Book Club in a Bag. You can check out a canvas tote bag
filled with titles used for Library book discussions. We’ll also include a
list of questions to use for discussion and tips for making your book club a
success. Return the bag when your group is done and then check out another
for your next club meeting. Scroll down to see the guidelines and request a title. |

If you are interested in requesting a certain title for your Book Club, call (847) 358-5881 ext.108. The Library will contact you within 5 working days to notify you that your information is received and processed.
Guidelines
- Titles available are listed on the Book Club in a Bag bibliography and on this website.
- We need one week notice for preparing a Book Club in a Bag.
- We will confirm availability of the requested title, and the pickup date, by telephone within three days.
- Books will all be checked out to the patron who requests them. The Book Club in a Bag will also include author information, discussion, and book group guidelines.
- The patron is responsible for returning the Book Club in a Bag to the Reader Assistance Desk on or before the due date.
